For 125 years now, the world-famous Walker's Shortbread has been produced in Aberlour, an idyllic town in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Here, in the midst of untouched nature, in a harmonious landscape with impressive mountains and crystal-clear streams and rivers, the Walkers success story begins.
Once upon a time...
an ambitious young Scotsman had set his mind on producing only baked goods of the finest quality in his village bakery, which he founded in 1898. What Joseph Walker had started so courageously and determinedly was consistently continued. His small village bakery eventually became a leading company and his good name became an international trademark for the finest Scottish pastries.
The recipe for success
Baked with love and care according to traditional recipes - of course only using the finest ingredients, without artificial flavors, colorings or additives. Walker's guarantees this with its quality seal on every package. This unique combination of traditional quality and the finest taste brought the company a global reputation and coveted awards - including two Queen's Awards for special achievements in export.
Traditional Scottish quality
Joseph and James Walker, who now run the family business in the third generation, also consistently focus on quality and taste in the good old tradition - the secret of Walker's success! This applies not only to the classic pastries, but also to the numerous new developments. With various shortbreads, cookies and cakes in their attractive packaging in the typical tartan, Walker's offers what is probably the largest selection of Scottish pastries - popular and sought after in over 80 countries around the world.
